“Arthur, what are you doing?” “Nothing,” Arthur replies, too quickly. It’s too late; Eames is already in the room, looking at the painting, “just—your art supplies were out.” “I love it. I’m going to frame it and keep it forever.” “Please,” Arthur mutters and he sounds a little bitter, “I’m aware that my painting skills are nowhere near forging standards.” Eames simply chuckles. Months later, when Arthur is in Eames’ Boston apartment again, he raises an eyebrow at the framed picture on the wall. “Seriously, Eames…?” “I told you,” Eames kisses his forehead, “I love it. It’s beautiful. Like you.”
