Eames comes home to a pile of envelopes on his doorstep, with neat handwriting across them, reading: return to sender.

Chuckling to himself, he picks them up, arranging them into a neat stack as he opens the door. There are fictional return addresses on the back of each envelope, and yet, they’ve found their way back to him.

“Arthur,” he murmurs, fondly, putting the envelopes down. “I know you’re here. Someday, you’ll actually read my letters.”

“If you ever stop writing terrible poetry,” Arthur’s voice replies from behind Eames, and there’s the gentle pressure of lips against his own. “…Hey.”
