They stand together at the arrivals terminal of LAX while Cobb goes home to his family, and Eames asks Arthur what he will do from here.

“I don’t know,” Arthur says, and it’s a little terrifying to admit it aloud.

Eames looks at him carefully and murmurs, “I could do with a point man.”

Arthur nods, and they part ways. He imagines being with Eames; professionally, like with Cobb. Personally, like they had for several nights before the job.

It takes him two days. He lets himself into Eames’ hotel room and grins. “You could do with a point man.”
